Statutes – Uniform Power of Attorney for Finances and Property – § 244-01 – 244-64

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 244-02).

Signing Requirements – Acknowledgment is obligated by a licensed notary professional as outlined in the Wisconsin Statutes § 244-05.
