Ohio Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney Form

The Ohio Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form BMV 3771) was created so that residents of the state could arrange for another person to manage specific vehicle affairs on their behalf. In other words, this document will allow the agent to make and execute the assignment of or application for the principal’s Certificate of Title.

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 1337.22(G)).
