Connecticut Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney Form

The Connecticut Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form A-83) is utilized when someone wishes to have another person represent them in a transaction related to an automobile’s titling, registration, or transfer. This form allows the attorney-in-fact to acquire and sign vehicle documents on behalf of the owner.

Signing Requirements – The principal’s signature must be acknowledged by two (2) witnesses and an authorized officer, e.g., notary public, justice of the peace, or commissioner of the superior court (§ 1-350d).
