Arkansas Limited (Special) Power of Attorney Form

An Arkansas Limited (Special) Power of Attorney enables a principal to grant authority to an agent for a particular task. Unlike general POAs, this form allows for greater precision in detailing the agent’s abilities. Once signed and completed, the agent can perform the task in the principal’s place.

Statute – Arkansas Code – Uniform Power of Attorney Act (§ 28-68-101 – 28-68-406)

Definitions – “Power of Attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 28-68-102(7)).

Signing Requirements – To achieve an active document, the principal must sign in the presence of a notary public or other authorized individual (§ 28-68-105).
