When applying for a leased property, it is customary to pay a non-refundable application fee upon submission. The state of Maryland enforces regulation on paid fees stating that if an application is withdrawn, part of the cost is obligated to be refunded for amounts over $25. The refund must be delivered to the applying individual within 15 days of the request per the Maryland Annotated Code § 8-213.
