How to Register a Gun

The state of Alabama does not require the registration of firearms. You do not have to acquire a license of any kind, but if you would like to obtain the right to concealed carry, you will have to apply for a permit (in accordance with Section 13A-11-75). If you want to obtain this permit, visit the Alabama Sheriffs Association website and select the county where you reside to learn more information. (To review the laws regarding firearms in Alabama, visit the state’s website.)
