How to Register a Boat

Individuals looking to register their watercraft must do so at the nearest WGFD (Wyoming Game and Fish Department) facility. Be sure to have the following items on hand when approaching the registration office:

• Bill of sale
• Certificate of Title (signed and received from the previous owner)
• A valid HIN (if the vessel was titled out of state, you will need to provide a completed copy of the Application for Certificate of Title and VIN/HIN Inspection Form (Form MV-300A).
• A filled-out Watercraft Registration Application.
•  Sufficient funds to appease any fees associated with registration.

You have the option of selecting a 1 or 3-year registration. If you prefer registering by mail, send copies of the abovementioned materials to:
