The Colorado Living Will registers an individual’s preferences regarding any medical or surgical treatments that may occur if they are ever mentally incapacitated. Unlike an advance directive or medical power of attorney, a living will does not offer the principal an opportunity to supply an agent with powers to conduct medical decisions on their behalf. The executing party should read the document, provide the requested details, and sign it as demanded by law to effectuate this instrument.
