Kansas Minor Child Power of Attorney Form

The Kansas Minor Child Power of Attorney effectively establishes the conveyance of parental powers from the legal guardians to an attorney-in-fact. This does not mean that the parent(s)/guardian(s) give up any of their rights to the child, but rather that they will have concurrent authority over the minor and can revoke the authorization at any time.

Definition – “Host family” means an individual or family who provides temporary care under this act (§ 38-2402(c)).

Signing Requirements – Acknowledgment of a Notary Public (§ 58-652(a)(3))

Termination Period – One (1) Year (§ 38-2403(d)(2)(A))
