Nevada Minor Child Power of Attorney Form

The Nevada Minor Child Power of Attorney qualifies a composed agreement to transfer an individual’s intrinsic parental rights concerning a child to a nominated adult for an interim period. The short-term arrangement allows the named attorney-in-fact to receive powers to make decisions in place of the parent regarding the minor.

Statute – Nevada Revised Statutes – Appointment of Guardian of Minor Without Approval of Court (§ 159A.205 – 159A.215)

Definition – “Minor” means any person who is:

1. Less than 18 years of age; or
2. Less than 19 years of age if the guardianship of the person is continued until the person reaches the age of 19 years pursuant to § 159A.191.

Signing Requirements – The agreement requires notarization from an individual authorized by law to acknowledge the execution of legal documents (§ 159A.205-5(c)).
